Phase 1: Dual-Unit Environmental Design
For this expansive garden room project, a single unit would not suffice to provide uniform climate control across such a large floorplate. We designed a multi-split solution featuring two high-efficiency internal units to ensure the space remains perfectly comfortable for year-round use.
- Bespoke Thermal Mapping: We calculated the heating and cooling loads for the entire structure, strategically placing two units to eliminate cold spots and ensure rapid temperature adjustment.
- All-Season Versatility: The system was specified to provide powerful heating for winter months and high-capacity cooling for summer, making the garden room a truly functional 365-day space.
- Sleek Interior Integration: We selected modern, low-profile wall units that complement the clean, contemporary aesthetic of the new build without intruding on the living space.
Phase 2: First-Fix Precision & Infrastructure
The technical integrity of this build relied on a clean first-fix installation. Our engineers coordinated with the building’s structural phases to hide as much of the infrastructure as possible.
- Structural Wall Mounting: Internal mounting plates were precisely measured and secured to the timber-frame structure before the final decorative finish, ensuring a flush and stable fit.
- Integrated Service Routing: Refrigerant lines and drainage pipes were professionally routed through the wall cavities, following the highest technical standards to prevent future condensation issues.
- Discreet Cable Management: All electrical feeds were pre-installed to specific termination points, avoiding the “hashed” look of exposed cabling common with inferior installations.
Phase 3: Second-Fix & Advanced Commissioning
The project concluded with the mounting of the high-performance hardware and a rigorous commissioning process to guarantee peak efficiency from day one.
- Anti-Vibration External Mounting: The outdoor condenser was secured on a reinforced ground gantry with anti-vibration mounts to ensure whisper-quiet operation that won’t disturb the peace of the garden.
- Technical Service Integration: External pipework was enclosed in UV-stabilised, weather-resistant trunking, following the building’s natural architectural lines for a seamless finish.
- Precision Digital Calibration: Using digital manifolds, we performed a 100% accurate refrigerant charge and a comprehensive pressure test run to verify that both indoor units operate at maximum COP (Coefficient of Performance).
