Industrial Warehouse Office Integration

The Scale: High-Level Industrial HVAC Installation

For this large-scale warehouse project, the client required a robust climate control solution for newly integrated office spaces built within the main industrial floorplate. Managing high-elevation installations and multi-unit configurations, our team delivered a high-capacity system designed for industrial durability and precise environmental control.

Phase 1: Technical System Design & Specification

Given the expansive nature of the warehouse environment, selecting the correct hardware was critical for maintaining operational continuity. We specified a combination of premium Toshiba systems to handle the specific thermal loads of the internal office pods.

  • Multi-Unit Configuration: We installed a Toshiba twin-split and a additional Toshiba single-split system to provide independent climate zones for the three newly constructed office areas.
  • Specialist Load Balancing: The system was engineered to maintain a stable internal temperature despite the significant temperature fluctuations common in large-scale industrial properties.
  • Strategic Equipment Selection: Toshiba hardware was chosen for its long-term reliability and high-efficiency performance in demanding industrial settings.

Phase 2: High-Level First-Fix Infrastructure

A defining technical challenge of this project was the requirement for high-level service routing. Our senior engineers executed the installation at an approximate height of 5 metres, following our strict “Recovery Specialist” standards for tidy, parallel service runs.

  • High-Level Service Traywork: Refrigerant pipework and electrical lines were professionally secured in industrial-grade traywork at a height of 5 metres, keeping floor space clear for warehouse operations.
  • Precision Service Routing: Every service run followed meticulous architectural lines to avoid a “hashed” finish, ensuring a clean and technically sound infrastructure.
  • Secure Industrial Mounting: Indoor units were secured to reinforced internal partitions, providing a stable, vibration-free base for whisper-quiet office cooling.

Phase 3: Heavy-Duty Commissioning & Outdoor Installation

The project concluded with a robust external installation designed to withstand the rigours of an industrial environment, followed by a rigorous digital commissioning process.

  • Big Foot Condensing Gantry: The outdoor units were mounted on a solid Big Foot condensing frame, providing a stable, level, and elevated foundation that protects the hardware from ground-level industrial traffic.
  • Digital Manifold Verification: Our engineers utilised high-precision digital manifolds to calibrate the refrigerant charge across the extended high-level pipework, ensuring peak Coefficient of Performance (COP).
  • Total Operational Continuity: The final commissioning verified that all three office spaces achieved rapid heating and cooling, providing a professional-grade environment within the warehouse facility.
